I build custom AI, and explain it in plain language.

L8NTLABS is a small AI research lab in Reno, Nevada, run by me, Tom Duffy. I am a creative technologist with a long career across software development and marketing strategy, which means I can do two things most AI shops cannot do together: build the technical solution, and explain it clearly to the people who have to use it.

I like hard problems and custom solutions. I would rather build the right thing for your situation than sell you a product that almost fits. And I will tell you honestly when AI is not the answer.

How I work

• Plain language first. If I cannot explain it simply, I do not understand it well enough yet.
• No hype. I will point at the few places AI helps you and skip the rest.
• Built to hold up. Real systems that fail safely, not demos that fall over in week two.
• Your data is yours. When privacy matters, I build so nothing leaves your control.
